Health Maintenance with Chinese Medicine
Routine treatment is an excellent way to keep the body balanced, avoid re-occurrence of pain and reduce stress for those who wish to maintain their good health. It is estimated that 70-80% of all health problems are stress related.
At the very least, it’s good practice to have at least a ‘tune-up’ at the beginning of each new season to balance the body in preparation for seasonal weather and temperature changes.
Or, for example, if you tend to have one or more colds every winter, we can begin boosting your immune system in August to reduce the frequency and severity of those colds.

Weight Management
Several options are available for weight management and weight loss:
- Series of acupuncture treatments, including auricular (ear) acupuncture to help curb emotional eating. Herbs may also be prescribed.
- Ear stapling. A modern version of auricular acupuncture. A surgical steel staple is placed in each ear to reduce the appetite and help with emotional eating. Staples remain for 12-16 weeks. Email eastwestacup@sbcglobal.net for frequently asked questions and answers about ear stapling.
- Detoxification plus acupuncture. Nutritional products and herbs are utilized to cleanse and balance the system, which aids in weight loss. Programs include weekly follow-up visits with an acupuncture treatment and weigh-in.
- Free weight loss seminar (usually scheduled monthly). No obligation; good information you can use on your own. Email to request the date of the next scheduled seminar.
