What does a coach do, exactly?

Simply stated, a coach guides, inspires and supports you in making daily choices and lifestyle changes that support your wellness goals.  Another way of saying that is that a coach helps you make a plan and put it into action.

A health and wellness coach assists you in:

  • Defining and clarifying the vision of what you want for your health and well-being

  • Identifying roadblocks to healthy choices and making a plan to get past them

  • Setting goals toward achieving your vision

  • Sticking with those goals

How do I know if I need a coach?

You might need a coach if you:

  • Want to lose weight but don’t know where to start – you have no plan

  • Have been unsuccessful at keeping weight off – you’ve been on several diets but the weight seems to pile back on

  • Are dependent on pharmaceuticals for acid reflux, anxiety, insomnia, to lower cholesterol, to manage chronic sinus infections, lower blood sugar, manage headaches, etc.

  • Are diabetic or pre-diabetic

  • Have/had heart problems as a result of lifestyle (stress, poor diet and/or lack of exercise)

  • Feel exhausted or burned out most of the time

  • Cannot effectively manage stress

You can completely transform any of these conditions or make, at the very least, vast improvement.  You might just need help making the changes, and that’s where a coach comes in.
